The United States government provides grants to organizations and agencies for a variety of purposes. One of them is granting financial assistance for homeowners and homebuyers to acquire housing, make home repairs, and obtain other housing-related needs.
The federal government “has established quite a slew of agencies that are specifically designed to administer housing programs and assist the needs of homebuyers, renters, and property developers.”
Among the agencies that offer housing assistance include (but is not limited to) the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), and local Public Housing Authorities (PHAs).
